Macias Dermatology
Medical Services

The health of your skin, before everything else.

Dermatology, practiced the way medicine should be.

Skin health is the foundation of everything we do, and the medical practice is where that foundation is laid. It is a privilege to be trusted with yours. From regular skin cancer screenings to treatment for precancerous and cancerous lesions and chronic conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema and rosacea, our commitment begins with time spent carefully listening, and ends with a course of treatment suited to you, not a template.

How we treat

Care that starts by listening.

Exceptional care starts with listening carefully enough to understand what your skin, and your daily life with it, actually need. We examine thoroughly, explain plainly, and recommend the course of treatment best suited to you. The health of your skin is the first priority of this practice, and it is treated that way at every visit.

  • You will never feel rushed through an exam. We take the time to understand what brought you in, examine thoroughly, and explain what we see in plain language, in English or in Spanish.

  • If a screening finds something that needs attention, your diagnosis and your treatment stay with the team that already knows you, from dermatoscopic evaluation through Mohs surgery, phototherapy, photodynamic therapy or non-surgical skin cancer treatment.

    Skin cancer screenings
  • A fee for your medical screening is billed to insurance, a portion of which you may be required to co-pay based on your insurance plan. Our front desk will walk you through it before your visit, no surprises.

    Patient information
  • Every medical treatment plan is developed under the direction of Dr. Edgar S. Macias, Harvard-trained, surgically trained at UCSF, and board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
