Michelle Flores

Michelle was born and raised in the Central Valley where she graduated high school from San Joaquin Memorial. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree in both Nutritional Science and Nursing with honors. Michelle began her nursing career as an emergency room nurse where she excelled and was quickly promoted into a leadership role as a charge nurse. She emphasized that positive health outcomes could be achieved with great patient education and quality patient care. As a result of her efforts, Michelle was awarded the Alice Peters scholarship for Leadership. Her success inspired her to further her education by earning a Master’s of Science Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner with high honors.

Michelle has been employed as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2016, working in both the emergency department as well as the exciting world of dermatology. Michelle was drawn into dermatology in part due to her own personal experiences with skin conditions and by that of some of her family. She also found the variety of cases and their visual context challenging and fun. She specializes in medical dermatology from mole checks, skin cancer treatment, acne, psoriasis, rosacea, and atopic dermatitis to name a few. Michelle’s background has helped her to empathize with her patients’ conditions and strengthened her resolve to promote the importance of prevention and proper patient education. She has a constant thirst for knowledge and enjoys continuing her education through medical journals, conferences, and learning from difficult cases.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
