Every patient at Macias Dermatology is cared for by a dedicated team of fourteen: a Harvard-trained, board-certified dermatologist, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who practice medical dermatology daily, from screenings to complex conditions, and aesthetic specialists who care for how your skin looks as well as how it lives. All of it practiced by the tenets the clinic was founded on: respect, exceptional experience and sound medicine.

Meet the team
Dr. Edgar S. Macias founded the practice in 2011 and has led it since: a Harvard Medical School graduate, board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a board-certified Mohs surgeon, and fluent in Spanish. The standard he set is simple: careful medicine, practiced personally.
Our board-certified physician assistants practice dermatology exclusively, and it shows in the details: full-body skin exams, biopsies, and the steady management of acne, psoriasis and eczema, always in close partnership with Dr. Macias, and with you. Several trained here in the Central Valley and now care for the community they know.
Our nurse practitioners bring advanced clinical training and an unhurried manner to every visit, caring for everything from mole checks and skin cancer treatment to acne, psoriasis, rosacea and atopic dermatitis. They take the time to know your skin, your history, and your goals, so your care is tailored, never a template.
Cosmetic care here is a craft of restraint. Our estheticians look after the surface story of your skin, planning every treatment around your features and your goals, favoring results that look like you: rested, not altered.
Our aesthetic registered nurse brings clinical training to cosmetic care, so every treatment is delivered with the same steadiness and judgment you would expect in the exam room.
