Narrow BandUVB Therapy

Psoriasis, vitiligo and eczema bring physical discomfort and an emotional weight that anyone who lives with them knows well. Narrow Band UVB Therapy relieves their symptoms without drugs and without surgery.

Relief without drugs.

Living with psoriasis, vitiligo or eczema is tiring. Beyond the itch and irritation, these conditions are visible, and that can wear on your confidence as much as your skin.

For patients across Fresno and the Central Valley, Narrow Band UVB Therapy offers a non-invasive, drug-free way to quiet these conditions, on its own or alongside the treatments you already use.

How it works.

Narrow Band UVB Therapy is a form of phototherapy. The treatment apparatus exposes the skin to an artificial UVB source that releases only a small range of ultraviolet light, the component of natural sunlight proven most beneficial for skin disorders such as psoriasis and eczema.

Delivered in regular sessions of set lengths, that narrow band of light reduces skin inflammation and relieves the symptoms of the disorder, without the broad-spectrum exposure of time in the sun.

What to expect.

Treatment is a rhythm rather than a single event: regular, timed sessions in the clinic. Results vary from person to person, but general improvement in psoriasis and eczema begins after five to ten treatments.

Your practitioner will set the schedule and session lengths for your condition, and adjust them as your skin responds.

Is it right for you.

If you live with psoriasis, vitiligo or eczema and want relief that does not depend on another prescription, phototherapy is worth a conversation. It can also be used in conjunction with topical or systemic medications for enhanced therapeutic outcomes.

Talk to us about your condition and its history. We will tell you plainly whether light therapy belongs in your treatment plan.
