Pulse Dye Laser
Persistent redness rarely fades on its own, because its cause sits below the surface: blood vessels lying close to the skin. The pulse dye laser treats those vessels directly, and the redness they create goes with them.
What it treats.
The pulse dye laser is the gold-standard treatment for vascular concerns of the skin: the persistent flush of rosacea, broken capillaries and spider veins on the face, port wine stains, hemangiomas, and scars or stretch marks that hold a red tone.
Because it treats the vessels themselves rather than the surface, it reaches redness that creams and cover-ups only manage.
How it works.
The laser delivers concentrated yellow light at a wavelength absorbed by the hemoglobin in blood. The targeted vessels absorb that energy and collapse, while the surrounding skin is left untouched.
The body then clears the treated vessels naturally. What remains is skin with the redness visibly reduced, treated at its source rather than concealed.
What to expect.
Treatments are quick and comfortable, with protective eyewear worn during the session. Some redness, and occasionally bruising, can appear over the treated area and settles on its own within days.
Smaller vessels often clear in a single visit; broader redness and port wine stains are treated over a short series. Your practitioner will map the plan with you before treatment begins.
Is it right for you.
If facial redness, visible vessels or a red-toned scar is what you notice first in the mirror, this laser was designed for exactly that concern.
Start with a consultation. We will confirm the laser suits your skin and the vessels being treated, and give you a realistic picture of the sessions involved.
Common questions.
Vascular concerns: rosacea redness, broken capillaries, spider veins on the face, port wine stains, hemangiomas, and scars or stretch marks that hold a red tone.
Most patients describe a quick snapping sensation with each pulse. Sessions are short, and no extended recovery follows.
Some redness is common and occasional bruising can appear over the treated area. Both settle on their own within days.
Smaller vessels often respond in a single visit. Broader redness and port wine stains build results over a short series, mapped out at your consultation.
