Dr. Mafi is a highly esteemed plastic surgeon who is dedicated to enhancing the appearance and self-confidence of his patients. Possessing a background in molecular cell biology, he brings a scientific approach to his surgical practice. Dr. Mafi earned his Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Cell Biology from the prestigious University of California, Berkeley and went on to receive his Medical Degree from Ross University, School of Medicine with Honors.
Dr. Mafi’s extensive training has included opportunities to work with some of the leading professionals in the field.
He completed his internship at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and further developed his surgical skills through a residency in General Surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then pursued advanced training through a fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, where he gained comprehensive exposure to all aspects of plastic surgery, including aesthetic cosmetic surgery of the face and body, body contouring, breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, and reconstructive surgery for breast and skin cancer.
